  • Tabasco Pitch
Tabasco is one of those unique brands that comes with a ton of brand equity already built into the product. People LOVE Tabasco sauce. They put it in recipes many of us would never dream of using it in. It's their condiment of choice on any food you can imagine. With a die hard following like that, it seems only natural to leverage that loyalty into a 24/7 real-time endorsement for the brand.

The idea behind this pitch was to capture that brand loyalty by gathering all of the tweets, facebook posts, YouTube videos and blogged recipes all onto the Tabasco homepage. Showing the rest of the world what Tabasco already knows. People love Tabasco.

  • Hellboy Illustration
I've been a comic book fan since I was a kid. I wanted to draw comics for a living, but around the time I got to High School I realized my talents were more in the areas of lettering and layout rather than illustration. But lately I've got the bug again. This is my first attempt at an illustration of a comic book character in over 10 years.

This initial drawing was done in Illustrator with textures added in Photoshop. I'm pretty happy with how it came out and I plan to do more when I get some time.

  • CBC Media Sales & Marketing Website
CBC's Media Sales & Marketing website is their tool to promote their original programming to potential advertisers and media buyers across Canada. The CBC team wanted to step outside their traditional brand and deliver a dramatic presence that plays up to the high quality programming they create.

They also needed to ensure that media buyers could find the information they were looking for quick and painlessly. The information architecture was streamlined and the user interface simplified to meet those goals.

  • CBC FIFA World Cup 2010 Website
Site design for CBC's official coverage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. A large scale project that required strict adherence to CBC's overall design grid while ensuring all design elements could be achieved with CBC's content management system. While this certainly served up some restrictions I was able to have some fun within the limitations, and I earned a lot more about Football than I ever thought I would.

  • CBC One Million Acts of Green
CBC in cooperation with CISCO and George Stroumboulopoulus launched a one year campaign to promote environmental awareness across Canada. Users were asked to sign up and make simple changes in their lives to benefit the environment. These "Acts of Green" were then converted into green house gas savings and an ongoing tally of the progress was displayed on the site and George's show "The Hour" on CBC. The goal was to break one million acts of green across Canada, which was easily blown away.

My task was to design a site based on the creative elements created for the television program. It had to be simple to use to ensure that users could contribute their acts easily and it had to look good doing it.

  • Student Awards - website
StudentAwards matches students across canada with money for school. The site needed to be able to engage students while delivering deep information about scholarships and bursaries. Aside from a logo there was no brand to speak of, so I developed a colour scheme and pebble motif that spoke to the educational nature and diversity of their audience and provided a little visual excitement.

  • OPG - mypowercareer.com
The Ontario Power Generation's career recruitment website. The challenge was to add a human face to a company that is often seen as a large faceless entity. To attract more applicants, the website needed to offer potential employees a view inside the machine, exposing them to the real people that work within the company, allowing them to envision themselves as employees.
